A cruise trip to Riga

At the end of June, it was the best moment to take a break from our studies and sail to Riga with Tallink cruise trip from Stockholm. I am excited that in the end, we managed to go!! Viola, Beatrice and I, had a 40 hour trip on board, with 6 hours in the city of Riga to explore. That trip was a source of inspiration and relaxation! Sometimes even 40 hours are enough to recharge your batteries!!

It was very easy to book a cabin in Isabelle ship and there are specific dates (traveling during the week) when the price of a cabin (4 people) is very low (37 EUR for a cabin for 4 persons in C-class).

The “Sky – Bar”, Isabelle cruise during the sunset

The cruise ship is very comfortable and there are many different places where you can relax, read a book, eat, drink, have a spa, dance or even shopping. My favorite places were the ” Sky-Bar ” (in the photo above), where you could enjoy lounge music and have access to the main outdoor deck in order to enjoy the sunset.

Amazing sunset in the Baltic sea

The ship arrived at 11:00 at Latvian time ( one hour more than Stockholm time) *Remember to take a free Riga map from the cruise reception.

We were very inspired by the Latvian architecture and the decorated facades in the city center. Different colors, materials, and forms surrounded by trees and the clear blue sky. Walking in the old center was a beautiful experience, strange doors and windows, shop labels and tiny streets.

Riga is the pearl of the Baltic indeed. An architectural diamond on the banks of the River Daugava that combines many different trends and experiences.

Enjoy 🙂
